On May 19, the first overseas factory of Sinochem International's Sennics was officially put into operation on May 19 in the Rojana Industrial Park, Chon Buri Province, Thailand.
The inauguration of Sennics Thailand means that supply for the production bases of downstream customers in Southeast Asia is now localized. Moreover, by leveraging the geographical and business advantages of Thailand, the factory can expand its business to Southeast Asia and throughout the world, while improving the stability of the company's global supply.
Su Fu, deputy general manager of Sinochem International and CEO of Sennics, said at the opening ceremony that Sennics Thailand is an important platform for Sennics to actively respond to the Belt and Road initiative and deliver Sinochem International's development strategy. The company will further accelerate internationalization, expand product portfolio, meet the more diverse needs of overseas customers, and provide more innovative and value-added products and services for global customers and all partners.
Liu Hongsheng, general manager of Sinochem International and chairman of Sennics, said that the polymer additive business is an extremely important part of Sinochem International’s material science landscape. Sennics Thailand will inject strong impetus into Sinochem International’s ambition of "building a world-class materials platform."
The Sennics Thailand project officially broke ground on March 9, 2020, and with an expected annual production of 25,000 tons of rubber antioxidants. It not only fills in the gap in rubber antioxidant production in Southeast Asian countries, but also localizes supply for the overseas production bases of downstream partners, creating new opportunities for deepening the strategic cooperation between upstream and downstream industrial chains.
