On May 6, the SAKURA GAS, a foreign trade ship laden with 46,462 tons of low-temperature propane, successfully docked at berth 148# of the Sinochem Lianyungang Port’s liquefied hydrocarbon terminal. This marked the arrival of the park’s first 50,000-ton class foreign trade ship since the port’s temporary opening in March, signaling the start of its international trade activities.
The propane delivered by this ship is the primary raw material for the park’s phase one project for the C3 industry, and will be used to supply the soon-to-be-completed PDH unit for its trial run.
The successful docking of this large vessel not only establishes a maritime conduit for raw materials and finished goods but also enhances the port’s operational efficiency. It ensures the supply chain’s logistics needs within the park, improving the safety and stability of raw material transit.
This strategic move is significant for optimizing the park’s supply chain storage and transportation system, ensuring material supply, efficient product shipment, and fostering an integrated industrial chain and a new materials cluster at the Sinochem Lianyungang Industrial Park.
