Sinochem International’s Methyl Isoamyl Ketone (MIAK) product has been named an “Innovative Product in Chemical New Materials” in 2023 by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation.
This recognition highlights the product’s successful development, which ensures a stable supply of a key raw material for the company’s high-end rubber antioxidants and addresses critical gaps in China’s chemical new materials supply chain.
The MIAK project, developed using independent intellectual property technology, features a production process with mild reaction conditions and high levels of catalytic efficiency, conversion rate, selectivity, and raw material utilization.
According to the Shanghai Chemical Science & Technology Information Institute, the process is internationally leading and fills the domestic gap. The MIAK produced at the company’s polymer additives plant in Tongling has already hit the market and received positive feedback.
